Given the challenge to design a leading third generation Natural Beauty brand for the mass market, Mendez created an innovative, elegant and visually dominant personal care brand that is differentiated from the competition.

Mendez worked closely with the cafe’s owners to create a bold and timeless wordmark and icon to represent Harry’s unique Bondi heritage.

Mendez was brought into Bambi International, an Australian owned bedding company, to revitalise their brand and create a brand architecture and packaging system under which all their sub-brands can be organised. Sold through major bedding outlets such as Harvey Norman, Beds R Us, Domayne and Snooze, the result is a simplified system which is both customer friendly and allows for brand extension into further categories.

Mendez was asked to create new packaging for the London Polished Dry Shampoo to attract a young hip market to this new and growing category.

With the experience in liquor branding, Mendez was asked to create a brand for the liquor side of the IGA business. The branding system included a new logo, interior and exterior signage, environmental graphics, uniforms, point of sale items and packaging. To ensure consistency between stores, Mendez also produce a simple to follow Brand Guideline.

Mendez was approached by a German knife company Bismarck, to create a packaging system for their Knife Sets. Creating a new identity and eye catching packaging system, Mendez successfully designed a brand that reflected quality and heritage.

Working closely with Wholefoods House owners, Mendez evolved the Wholefoods House retail look and feel to create a personality behind their brand that reflected not only the nature of the organic products but of the owners themselves. Our role included the development of a new identity, branding, interior design, environmental graphics, signage, POS items, packaging and collateral for their growing chain of organic stores.

Working with the National Tree Day foundation’s annual campaign, Mendez created a consistent branded look and feel across all their touch points. The refreshed branding was extended across the apparel, plant cartons, posters and flyers.

Patrice Newell, an organic farmer from Scone NSW, approached Mendez to create a new consumer brand for her biodynamic products including olive oil, soap and honey. Reflecting Patrice’s personality and love of maps, Mendez created a sophiscated black and white visual identity and packaging system.

Mendez was approached by David Jones to create a packaging system for their new bedding home brand. The requirement was to create a sophisticated family of packaging that follows the David Jones black and white criteria.
